deZengo’s Survivor Story

deZengo is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, betrayal, abandonment, cancer, life-changing injuries, family estrangement, and seasons when simply continuing to breathe required more strength than anyone could see.

For years, she carried wounds created by people who should have protected her. She learned what it feels like to be silenced, dismissed, blamed, misunderstood, and expected to keep functioning while pieces of her life were breaking behind closed doors.

But her story did not end with what happened to her.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, deZengo began turning pain into purpose. The things meant to destroy her became the foundation for advocacy, creativity, education, and service. She used her voice to speak the truths others were afraid to say and created spaces where survivors could feel seen, believed, and less alone.

That calling grew into End Silence, Inc., a survivor-centered mission dedicated to raising awareness, helping adults heal, protecting children, and reminding people that silence should never be allowed to shelter abuse.

Even while living with serious health challenges, chronic pain, grief, and the physical cost of everything she has survived, deZengo continues to create, teach, advocate, pray, and serve. She does not serve because her life has been easy. She serves because she knows what it feels like to need someone to show up—and have no one come.

Her strength is not the absence of scars. It is the decision to keep standing with them.

Her faith is not based on a life without suffering. It is rooted in the God who stayed with her through every fire.

deZengo is not defined by the abuse, the losses, the diagnoses, or the people who walked away. She is a survivor, a mother, an artist, an author, a founder, and a fierce advocate determined to use every broken piece for something greater.

She survived.

She found her voice.

And now she uses it to help others find theirs.
