God In Action — What Love Looks Like

Updated: Apr 9

Honoring Vic B. and the Invisible Strength of a Son’s Devotion Read Time:

There is a specific kind of man you might not notice right away.

He isn’t the loudest in the room. He isn’t quoting scripture at every turn. He isn’t trying to prove his worth to an audience. He is just… there.

But if you watch closely, you’ll see it.

The Man Behind the Mission

This is for Vic B.

A son. A caregiver. A man who understands a truth deeper than any sermon:

Love isn’t something you say; it’s something you live.

Family isn’t always easy. And duty—real duty—is rarely convenient. Caring for a mother with dementia is more than a responsibility. It is a daily surrender.

The Truth About the Weight

It’s waking up not knowing what the day will bring. It’s answering the same question again… and again… and again—with the same patience, even when you’re running on empty. It’s watching someone you love slowly forget the things you could never imagine forgetting. Moments. Names. Pieces of themselves.

“It is grief while they are still here. And that kind of grief doesn’t get a moment of silence; it just keeps going.”

It is an exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix. Because even when you rest, you’re still listening. Still aware. Still carrying the weight of what tomorrow might bring. It’s the frustration that leads to guilt, and the isolation that comes when the world keeps moving while your schedule shrinks.

The Source of the Strength

In the middle of all of that, Vic stays. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s his mother. Because it’s who he is. Vic isn't out here trying to "convince" the world of anything. But if you ask him where that well of strength comes from? He’ll tell you: Jesus.

It isn't religion as a performance; it’s a relationship as a source.

It is a love that doesn’t need to be loud to be life-changing.

Real faith doesn’t speak first. It shows up first.

  • It looks like patience when frustration would be easier.

  • It looks like gentleness when everything feels overwhelming.

  • It looks like staying when walking away would be simpler.

That isn’t weakness. That is God In Action.

A Testimony Without Words

Vic, what you’re doing matters—not just in the big moments, but in the quiet ones no one else sees. The way you carry this weight is a sermon that resonates louder than any pulpit.

People don’t just hear what we believe. They watch how we live. And in you, they see:

  • Consistency.

  • Loyalty.

  • Love that doesn’t quit.

This is the kind of faith that reaches people. Not because it’s loud—but because it’s real.

✝️ The Word

Isaiah 40:29

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

💬 A Note to the Caregiver

To every person walking this same road: What you’re carrying is real. The exhaustion, the grief, and the quiet moments of frustration—you are allowed to feel them. You are not alone.

If you know someone like Vic, don’t just say you appreciate them. Show up for them.

And if you are the one carrying the load? Keep going. Even when it’s heavy. Even when it’s unseen. Because the way you live your life is already speaking louder than words ever could.

This is God In Action.

This is What Love Looks Like.

I really believe he is! You need to help us figure out who to focus on (weekly / monthly? ) and how we can use our platform to uplift, educate and point to Jesus.
